Great place to shop, eat whangout with friends and family. It's nearby the Glendale Galleria. One location with two awesome places to visit. Love the Barnes and noble book store and many others shops. However it's kind of too warm in the summer as it's an outdoor shopping area.
Wow! I was blown away by how beautiful this place was. You can tell that every single detail was thought of. Everything from the parking lot to the bathrooms were nice. We enjoyed the fountains with the shows every hour. My kids enjoyed every aspect of the location. They convinced me to take the elevator to the 7th floor which I'm glad they did. It was an amazing view! We went during the day during week. So it was nice and calm. We will definitely go back. Oh and see if the store you visit validates to save money on parking.
I hadn't been to The Americana since 2021?? Before they started building Gucci. This place is still very clean & picturesque. I went to the Samsung store & was planning to go to Sephora. Unfortunately, Sephora is closed for remodeling. Shoot!! I was very disappointed that you can only get a parking validation from restaurants and the movie theater. I spent about 45 mins at the Samsung store to have my new phone diagnosed and I spent $7 for parking. Even though it's still summer & there should be tourists, families, teenagers walking around enjoying The Americana, there were very few people there. It was about 4pm on a Wednesday, not too hot outside so I was honestly surprised at the lack of people there. They're now building a Louis Vuitton store 2 doors down from Gucci, where the Tiffany's used to be. Tiffany's has moved to a bigger location on the same side as the Apple store. Although it's nice to have these upscale designer stores, it also alienates people from going there to shop. Urban Outfitters & Anthropology are the 2 "affordable" stores, Barnes & Noble still there for book lovers. But otherwise, I just don't see myself going there now unless I'm bringing out-of-town friends. High parking rates don't help either.
Many people think of "The Americana at Brand" in Glendale being strikingly similar to "The Grove" in Los Angeles. However, I consider Glendale to be more out in the suburbs and is more within residents that live in nearby Burbank, Pasadena, and La CaƱada Flintridge. Located over several blocks, the entire shopping, dining, entertainment and residential complex (condos/apartments) is surrounded by E. Colorado St, S Columbus Ave, W Broadway, and Brand Blvd. Some of the key anchor stores/retailers are Nordstrom, AMC Theaters, and Barnes & Noble. Since I have a ton of family in the Los Angeles area, I remember visiting Glendale as a child back in the 1980's and an adult in the 1990's. I will say that this entire area has been absolutely transformed with the addition of many new retail/food businesses. And around the late-2010's was when this place was officially given the name "Americana at Brand". I will tell you that on any given day, this place gets packed! However, there is a multi-story parking garage that lies directly adjacent to this center that can reduce the stress of parking. And to those that might not to do all that walking (this place is HUGE), there is a free internal trolley service that can shuttle its customers around the entire complex. Many people though want to know, what stores do they have here?? Well, instead of naming all 80+ of them, I will list some of the more popular retailers & restaurants (in no particular order). This includes retailers Apple, Gucci, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Saint Laurent, Nespresso, See's Candies, Tesla, Nike, and Sephora. And more of the popular restaurants including Cheesecake Factory, Chick-Fil-A, Mendocino Farms, Shake Shack, Eggslut, and Crumbl Cookies. As I mentioned, there are too many to list but this gives you a general idea of what type of stores are here. I also wanted to add that business hours (which can vary from store to store) are Mon-Thu 10-9, Fri-Sat 10-10, and Sun 11-8. In addition to this place offering major retailers, it also boasts Waters of Americana which is a musical fountain offers entertainment for its guests. And if you happen to come here during the holiday season (late-Nov to late-Dec), they offer fake snow (as if you're in a winter wonderland), Christmas carols, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. In my opinion, it is probably one of the more well-executed outdoor malls in all of California. My rating, four solid stars.
I lov the Americana at Brand because it gives off and has similar vibes to The Grove. TIP: don't park at the Americana parking structure but park at Glendale Galleria and cross over so you don't pay for parking :-) thank me later! My favorite shops here are Aritizia, Brandy Melville, Lululemon, etc. I give her 5 stars because the Americana is expanding soon. I believe Louie Vuitton is opening at the end of this year and there are slowly more and more designer brand shops opening ! This time I noticed a Gucci and A Bottega Venetta store open up. Even if I'm not necessarily purchasing anything I love to walk around here & get my steps in. There's a variety of fine dining here as well + the beautiful & aesthetically pleasing fountain WOWOOW what more can you ask for
It's not a bad outdoor promenade mall, however it's very popular. It's a small outdoor shopping center with a handful of very popular brands. Nice place to visit and shop. Plan accordingly, as parking structure does charge during your time there. Another popular mall is right across the street from it as well, which has more retail shops to browse.
Shopping malls are dying these days! Americana mall offers good vibes only!! Not a lot of shopping stores to choose from but it's a great place to just walk around and hang out! Parking garage with plenty of parking spaces. First hour is $5! However you can get your ticket validated! If you want to avoid paying for parking, I would recommend parking at Glendale galleria which offers FREE parking Glendale galleria is worth stopping by it's across the street with a variety of stores to choose from.
I love it here!!! They are making this mall better and better with upscale stores. They just added Gucci recently and now adding Louis Vuitton and Bottega Venetta! They have so many more stores to shop and eateries, such as Cheesecake Factory, Frida's Mexican cuisine. The movie theatre's is here too! So much for you to do! The service is always good here and the selections have improved. The prices are pretty pricey but worth it! I love the Gucci store here and YSL store!! So many selections!!! They have Haggen Daz too! Just so much here with a great atmosphere. I recommend the Americana if you have not been here yet! -Marshay D.
This shopping area is very beautiful. Lots to do and eat . Also lots of people walking around enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's more in the high end shopping but still a nice place to enjoy .
